Project Description
This non-descript, 1984 ranch looks very typical for homes built in that era. It has red brick, tan hardboard siding and white trim. While beautiful and desirable back in the day, this style has not aged particularly well.
The owners of this diamond in the rough were looking to update the exterior and give their home better curb appeal. They met with our Project Consultant and opted for James Hardie fiber cement horizontal lap siding in the fresh Mountain Sage color. For trim, they chose Arctic White. They decided to replace the old shutters with new, updated ones and white-wash the brick. In addition, they wanted to have an eye-catching accent on the front of the house and chose a cedar shake in a natural wood stain.
Once the demo started our team discovered some rotting sheathing and framing under the old siding. Our team replaced the rotting wood with new OSB sheathing and then weather wrapped the whole house. The new siding and trim were installed, then the white washing.
The result is…WOW!
