Project Description

Hatch Homes was contacted by these Moravian Falls, North Carolina homeowners to assist them with building their mountaintop dream home. The owner’s initial plan was to install cedar wood siding as a ‘Do It Yourself’ project. Midway through their first wall, they decided to make two changes to their game plan. First, they wanted to convert their home’s exterior to James Hardie Siding in an attempt to reduce the overall project cost and lower the ongoing exterior maintenance that their house would require. Second, they decided to hire an experienced contractor to deliver the top quality exterior that they envisioned. Next Step: Find A Contractor!

To the homeowners, the most important qualities in a perspective contractor were quality, siding expertise and a proven track record installing James Hardie fiber cement siding. After they decided to partner with Hatch Homes for their cement siding installation, the fun began! Our team created a home visualizer so that the owners could customize their home design. They decided to use a two-tone color scheme of James Hardie Mountain Sage and Heathered Moss. The two greens complemented each other well. They also took a mixed medium approach to design by incorporating both horizontal lap siding and ‘board and batten’. For the finishing touches, James Hardie Sail Cloth trim was used in lieu of traditional white trim. The contrasting colors, styling profiles and material textures combined to create a unique home with exceptional curb appeal.

In addition to siding, Hatch Homes was also contracted to replace low-quality box store windows with high-end composite windows. Our team created two new window openings so that the home could capture more natural sunlight. Lastly, Hatch Homes installed a new gutter system so that the property could properly divert water away from the foundation.
Another successful exterior renovation by Hatch Homes. Special thanks to these Moravian Falls, North Carolina homeowners for trusting Hatch Homes as their remodeling contractor.

More than just a contractor.
