Siding, Stain, and Paint. Oh my!

This home, built in the 1990’s had an addition that was built in 2013. The entire first floor had brick siding, but the second floor had wood siding that was in need of replacement. The home owners weren’t sure if they wanted vinyl or fiber cement siding when they contacted us.

After weighing the pros and cons of vinyl and fiber cement siding options with our project consultant, our homeowners decided they wanted us to install James Hardie Horizontal Plank siding. They loved the Monterey Taupe color from the ColorPlus line of siding and chose trim to match. The vertical wood siding in the exterior entryway of their home was to be painted to match the siding color perfectly. The owners also wanted Hatch Homes to sand, stain and apply a clear coat on the front door and porch ceiling as well.

The Monterey Taupe color our customers chose looks great against the red brick on the main floor of the house. The lighter stain on the front door really brightens the entryway and makes for a welcoming approach to the home.
