Project Description
This gorgeous mountain house is a second home for these customers. It had original cedar and brick siding. The cedar was starting to rot to the point that painting and maintaining it no longer seemed the best course of action. Our customers contacted us, wanting to explore new siding options that are cost effective and low maintenance.
After meeting with our Project Consultant, our customers definitely wanted to use James Hardie’s fiber cement siding, due to its low maintenance and durability. The wanted to keep the original charm of the house so opted for horizontal lap in the color Timberbark. The siding has a textured wood grain called cedarwood. They also decided on a smooth trim in Khaki Brown, perfectly coordinating with the darker siding color.
The installation went very smoothly, and we were able to install the new siding while the homeowners were at their primary residence. Next time they vacation in the mountains they will have a beautiful view of the landscape AND their home!
