Project Description
This home was built in 1981 and these homeowners were ready for a change! They wanted to modernize the siding profiles from a classic 80’s diagonal to a cleaner, striking horizontal. They wanted to maximize their sunlight & views with all new casement windows, and wanted everything to look cohesive with their existing roof shingles.
The biggest motivator for this project was the visible damage that a nice old family of woodpeckers had created on the home’s siding. Unlike traditional hardboard siding, James Hardie fiber cement is invulnerable to pests like carpenter bees and woodpeckers, making it the obvious choice for these homeowners!
