The owners of this house in Charlotte, North Carolina wanted to get a quote on new vinyl siding. They recently had their roof replaced and had new windows installed by another company. They decided to get a quote from Hatch Homes to complete their exterior remodel.
After taking a closer look at the work the previous contractors did for the customers, it became obvious that they did an inferior job. The roofers installed a very sloppy drip edge and left a gap in the peak of one gables. The window company basically wrapped the window trim when replacing the windows, but instead of wrapping hardboard trim, they literally just bent aluminum in the shape of trim. The homeowners asked us to install the proper window trim and correct the drip edge of the roof during the siding installation.
Working with our project consultant, the homeowners decided on Mastic Ovation Woodgrain Vinyl lap siding. They wanted the front of the house and dormers to be done with the color Everest, and the remaining sides of the home to be sided in English Wedgewood. There was to be one accent wall on the right side of the home, which would be sided in Mastic Vinyl Board and Batten in the color Everest. New vinyl shutters would also be installed on the front of the home.
Residing with two tones of blue and a board and Batten accent wall gave this home a lot of visual interest. Knowing that the windows are now trimmed properly gives the homeowners peace of mind!
