James Hardie is the worldwide leader in Fiber Cement. Many consumers in North Carolina and South Carolina know about Hardieplank siding, but few know about Hardie’s Artisan Collection.
Artisan is Hardie’s designer series of siding products. Hardie’s Artisan siding is twice the thickness of regular Hardy board. The thickness provides deeper shadow and contour lines for a cleaner and more charismatic aesthetic.
Another upside to Hardie’s Artisan Siding is its tongue and groove “butt joint”. A butt joint is where two pieces of siding comes together on the wall. Artisan siding allows for strikingly low profile seams on the wall. Less visible seams equals a more beautiful home.
Hardie Board’s Artisan Siding can also achieve looks that regular Hardiplank Siding cannot. Artisan can have Mitered corners. This means at a 90° corner of the home Artisan can be cut and installed so that two of the boards are tight together without requiring the use of HardieTrim. Mitered Corners lend well to modern design and is an excellent way to personalize your home’s exterior.
