Why Should You Replace Your Siding?
Replacing your siding will guarantee two things: a boost to your curb appeal and an increase to your home’s value. It’s only a matter of time when the siding on the home you purchased years ago will begin to show its age. From small cracks and fading to major rot and warps, old siding is going to make your home look old and dilapidated. But, when you replace your siding, you are giving your home a natural face lift! Fresh, new siding will give your home a new vibrancy and vitality that displays the amount of love and care you’ve showered on your home over the years. And because of this new appearance, your new siding will increase your home’s overall value. This increased value will recoup your investment, so there’s no reason to be concerned about eating the initial cost of your new siding. Call us to learn more.

It was a pleasure working with the Hatch Homes team. From the first step to the last, they were attentive and left me at ease. The put the life back into my old home. They replaced my siding, performed repairs to damages, replaced sheathing, installed insulation, installed new windows (including repositions and adding new windows) and replacing my door with a larger door and staining. I get endless compliments on how great it looks. I included some before and after photos. White is before and green is after. Starting with Lin and working through the design process, she listened and understood what I needed and made recommendations and provided options for me to compare and use to appropriately budget. Providing estimate of different design decisions and ways I can get what I was looking for. that fit in my budget and gave me the look I was looking for. We came up with a combination of board and batten with shingled gables. She even gave me estimates on potential additions that could be needed like needing to replace sheathing on exterior so that I would not be blindsided if it came up JW was the project manager and he was always responsive, attentive and courteous. Working with JW was a breath of fresh air after I had another contractor whose project manager was barely there and took days or something never responded to my messages or calls. I was given expectations on start time and timeline and he did everything he could to keep the project on schedule. With an old home like mine, issues do come up. When they did, he made sure I was immediately informed and provided transparent pricing. He was flexible and adjusted to accommodate changes and add ons I needed or wanted to make on the project. He was on-site a few times a week to make sure the crew was executing as expected. He truly made you feel at ease. The entire crew was great. They were knowledgeable and if they came across something they brought it to my attention and explained what they thought needed to be done and followed up with JW. They were on time, worked hard and were always professional on site. They would check with me if I was there to make sure it was what I wanted and adjusted if it wasn't. I am happy with how my home has been transformed. Hatch homes also provided daily reports for what was done and pictures so you can see the progress whether or not I was there. I would recommend Hatch Homes for your exterior project needs. From the design process to the finish of project, everyone I interacted with was professional, transparent and left me at ease with confidence that the they cared for my home and would do a good job.Posted on Google![]()

Hatch Homes just completed my vinyl siding replacement with Hardie Board siding. From start to finish, working with Hatch Homes was a wonderful experience. Their detailed estimate showed every little detail that needed to be done. Their installers were perfectionists - they made sure everything was exactly right. They were real artists - not just nail bangers! See before picture (vinyl siding) and after pictures (Hardie Board).Posted on Google![]()

Hatch Homes renovated the exterior of two homes for us with Hardy Board. They do great work which is why I contracted them a second time. As the owner, I felt informed and appreciated. They have a program to view options on your home in advance which is nice so you can get a pretty good idea of what colors and styles of siding would look like. Yorin was in charge of this latest project and he is excellent to work with.Posted on Google![]()

My husband and I have built our dream home ourselves, from the floor plans and elevations, to the framing and the rough-ins and everything. However, we knew that siding was going to be too much for us to take on given the height of the house and the number of specialized tools you need. We called Hatch early in the process and they worked with us to quote us on different siding materials so we could make an informed decision. We ended up with Ascend by Allside in Laguna blue and PVC trim and molding around the windows and doors, corners and skirt board on the bottom. We could not be happier with the result! The foreman and crew were very polite and professional, knowledgeable, and patient with our questions! I would not hesitate to recommend them, and have to several folks already!
Hardie Siding Replacement in Greensboro, NC
Hardie siding is the #1 choice in siding brand for Americans. Hardie siding is made of sand, cement, and cellulose fibers making it a strong and reliable choice in siding. From extreme heat, intense windloads, and pest attacks from termites and woodpeckers, Hardie siding is able to endure mother nature without warping, cracking, or melting. And because of Hardie’s cement base this siding has a 50 year lifespan, making it a lifelong solution to your siding needs and making it resistant to regular wear and tear!
Vinyl Siding Replacement in Greensboro, NC
Vinyl siding is made of polychloride vinyl, so it’s perfect for you if you live in a humid, warm climate. PVC is a strong and reliable material and is resistant to water related damage, intense heat, and pest attacks. The main aspect that separates vinyl and James Hardie siding is that Hardie siding has a larger threshold for heat. While a strong material, vinyl siding will begin to melt and warp in indirect heat and direct heat past 130℉. And when it comes to extreme cold, vinyl siding will begin to crack because of its plastic components. One major advantage to vinyl siding, on one hand, is its affordability. Because it’s cheap to produce, vinyl siding won’t squeeze your pockets dime for dime. But, one aspect you should be wary about is that there is a potential that viny may actually decrease your home’s overall value because of its cheaper, plastic look.
Wood Siding Replacement in Greensboro, NC
Wood siding is a great way to increase your home’s overall value. Usually made of cedar, pine, or redwood, wood siding is sustainable and durable. One major downside to wood siding however is that it requires a lot of up-keep and maintenance because of its natural material. Natural wood, while beautiful and environmentally friendly, is very susceptible to water related damage and pest attacks from wood-hungry insects like termites. Wood siding is also the most expensive out of the Hardie and vinyl. However, if you have the time and energy to maintain this material, wood siding is perfect to give your home an elevated and sophisticated look.
